I simply installed the game on my PC > applied the 1.2 patch from NFS-Planet (you mentioned in the comment to me that you applied a 1.4. It really just worked fine without needing to reinvent the wheel with any external tools. I run my NFSU2 on the Deck with Proton 7.0-2 which is supplied by Valve on the Deck - I don't do any "GE" or whatever stuff and so far have had great success. I did not have Lutris on, so that way of doing things was out the window. Hmm, well the CD issue I also ran into when trying to install. Next step I'm gonna try to get working the wide screen fix and maybe some shaders but one another wine-prefix :)Įdit3: Wide screen fix in the comment, thanks u/bimbino -> I found an installer on abandonware-france (it's the french version (I'm french so it doesn't bother me) -> one exe, pre-patched with 1.4 and no-cd), added the installer on steam with proton 7.0.2, installed it then changed the path to the Speed.exe and it works ! Second try was to install it from the deck but the installer ask CD2 and I can't get it to work.Īny tips, help, howto will be greatly appreciated ! :DĮdit : Tried it with Proton-GE-7.15 and Proton-Experimental (other proton version won't work) I tried the no intro fix and the uniws (for changing the resolution) but same problem.
It launch, I have a split second NFSU loading screen then black screen with nfsu mouse. I tried to install it on a windows then copy the folder to the Deck. Hi ! I really want to re-re-re-play this game and I have trouble to get it working on the Deck.
